Standup Guy

Eric Brown | People | Wednesday, January 10th, 2007

I had just finished dinner with my mom. We were leaving the restaurant and headed home. There was a very drunk and banged up homeless man babbling on the sidewalk. Everyone but a man in uniform ignored him. I assume the uniformed guy was an Army recruiter since there is an office nearby. He acknowledged the man’s existance and offered assistance. He wasn’t afraid…he just did his best to help. I wondered if it was his own personal character that affected him, or if it was his training. Just a thought.

  1. Wow. Good to know there are still people like him out there. (The uniformed guy, not the homeless guy. HAHA!)
